Calvary Cemetery Expansion Nearing Completion. As you can see from the pictures, the area in the Calvary Cemetery housing the two columbariums is nearing completion. The pavers have been laid to make the area very appealing to any visitor. We still have a couple of benches to set as well as a couple of stand-up crucifixes. We would gladly accept any donations to defray the cost of this excellent expansion. Those donations can be mailed to the parish office or placed in the weekend collection marked “Calvary Cemetery”. In addition, the new expansion has been plotted and spaces are available for purchase. You can contact Vic Garry at Oakcrest to make purchases in this newly completed section. There is a push for edging & rock to be done on November 7th and project will be completed.

Four times a year, the Church sets aside three days to focus on God through his marvelous creation. These quarterly periods take place around the beginnings of the four natural seasons that “like some virgins dancing in a circle, succeed one another with the happiest harmony.” -St. John Chrysostom (c.349 to 407 A.D.) In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Oh water, creature of God, I exorcise you in the name of God the Father almighty, in the name of Jesus Christ His Son, our Lord, and in the power of the Holy Spirit. I exorcise you so that you may put to flight all the power of the enemy, and to be able to root out and supplant that enemy with His apostate angels. Through the power of our Lord, Jesus Christ, who will come to judge the living and the dead, and the world by fire. Salt, creature of God, I exorcise you by the living God, by the true God, by the Holy God. By the God who ordered you to be poured into the water by Elisha the prophet. So that it’s life-giving powers might be restored. Let no breath of infection and no disease bearing here remain in these places. May the wild and lurking enemy prove of no avail. May this mixture of salt and water now be made in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let whatever might menace the safety and peace of those who live here, be put to flight by the sprinkling of this water. So that health may obtain by calling upon your Holy Name, may be made secure against all attack through Christ our Lord. Amen.
