The Perpetual Adoration Chapel, located at St. Cecelia, is set to receive beautiful stained-glass windows thanks to parishioners, Tom and Jane Eischen! The Eischens are generously donating the new windows, which are being handcrafted by Tom’s sister, Nancy Dereng, and brother-in-law, Larry Dereng, from North Carolina. Currently, the chapel features six windows and the theme chosen for the gorgeous new windows will fittingly honor each of the seven parishes that comprise Divine Mercy Parish including Sacred Heart, St. Joseph (Bode & Wesley), St. Michael, St. John the Baptist, Sts. Peter & Paul, and St. Cecelia. After attending the 40th Anniversary celebration of the Adoration Chapel last summer, Tom felt the Holy Spirit summoning him to spend some time in adoration. During his initial hour in the chapel, Tom sensed that same divine prompting again, leading to him and Jane contributing these magnificent works of art to the chapel. For the past few months Nancy, Tom, Father Matthew, and chapel coordinator Abby Cunningham, have been working out the particular features desired for the chapel windows. Through multiple meetings via Zoom & FaceTime, along with a plethora of emails, the final touches are now being perfected. Nancy and Larry plan to arrive in Algona sometime in April to install these works of art! More details to come as time gets closer!
