The Sacrament of Matrimony is a lifelong convenant (promise), with the model being Christ and the Church. It is the only sacrament that is not ministered by a priest or deacon, but by the couple themselves when they give their free consent to the marriage. The sacrament takes place during a liturgical celebration (usually Mass) and the presence of a priest (or deacon) and witnesses are the sign that the sacrament is not something that is private, but something that is a communal reality.
To schedule the Sacrament of Matrimony, contact Delores Huemiller, Director of Discipleship. Couples are expected to contact their pastor/associate pastor at least 6 months prior to the date of the intended marriage to allow for enough time for preparation.
