Fr. Jim Sichko is a full time preacher, evangelist and motivational speaker based in the Diocese of Lexington, Kentucky. In February of 2016, Pope Francis commissioned him as one of his Papal Missionaries of Mercy of which there are only 1000 in the world, 100 in the United States. Before he became a priest, he performed as an opera singer. Since becoming a priest, Fr. Sichko has made headlines for random acts of generosity and kindness, giving away thousands of dollars to people at the grocery store and on the street. He also has had the opportunity to meet and work with many celebrities and was honored by the U.S. Congress for his work.
Fr. Sichko will be at Divine Mercy to lead a spiritual mission retreat on the evenings of February 5 and 6.. Due to the central location of Divine Mercy Parish, Father has asked to hold both evenings in Algona. The mission is VERY FAMILY oriented and 60 minutes in length including music, storytelling, scripture and prayer! Following the mission a 'spare change' collection will be taken and he will be selling his sauce & books each night. Fr. Sichko will also be joining us for the Bishop Garrigan School Mass on Tuesday, February 7 at 8:40 a.m. For other information or questions please call the Parish Office.
All are welcome to attend. Fr. Sichko will have you laughing and crying. Great story teller. Will be easy for people to understand and take in.
