A quick update on the construction progress at Sts. Peter and Paul Church. We had to wait a few weeks for the arrival of bricks and railings, so activity had been paused for most of September. As of now, the metal handrails for the ramp and stairs are installed and painted. Most of the brick facing has been placed, too. The colors of the brick and handrails match very well with the existing building.
The ramp isn't completely handicap accessible yet because the door isn't power assisted where it can open with the push of a button. The doorway will receive that upgrade in the near future.
Thank you to everyone who has supported this project to make Sts. Peter and Paul Church more accessible and to revive its beauty! The work has been almost fully funded, but if you can help us reach 100% we would be most grateful. Below are pictures from the last couple months of work.
When this picture was taken in September, the railing had only been partly painted. This railing and the ones on the front steps are all painted a matte dark brown to complement the rest of the building.
